Garden of the Gods Full Experience

Want to truly experience all that the Garden of the Gods has to offer? This tour explores the best of the three distinct geologic areas of the park. You'll see the classic world-renowned rock spires of the central Garden, the iconic Balanced Rock along with other interesting formations in the park's western section, as well as the amazing fossils on display along the park's eastern boundary. This is the only tour of its kind offered by a professional scientist and educator. Join me as we embark on journey through time!

 

During the tour, you will experience:

- Fun and informative hikes that highlight the park's best geologic landscapes

- Learning to identify our local minerals and other features in the rocks

- Discovery of fossils that highlight Colorado's amazing geologic past

- Exploring a fault zone and seeing different fault examples

- Understanding of how today's majestic Rocky Mountains formed

 

This tour includes hiking all three of the geologically distinct areas of the park, transportation to and from the meeting location and trailheads, and the use of a daypack and hiking poles. We also provide water and a variety of healthy trail snacks.

 

Other Details: Tours are up to 3.5 hrs with a total hiking distance between 3-4 miles on trails that vary between walkways and "off the beaten path." Guests should be physically fit and enjoy a moderate challenge.

 

Price: $119 per adult, $79 per child (ages 6 to 13)*

*Each child will receive a geology sample bag that includes a fossil and a trail gem!
